I know these points come from Huntford, so my quarrel is more with him than with this book, but it's so tiring seeing this kind of information repeated and believed over and over again. Really interesting stories nicely linked together, however can’t be given a higher rating due to the editing. For those uninitiated, Roland Huntford's 'Scott and Amundsen' is incredibly biased against Scott, and includes falsehoods that have been debunked since, some of which have been merrily repeated in Fake Heroes.
