Right from the get-go these two hit it off, and despite the misunderstandings of the early stags of dating, they did everything possible to make it work. The structure of this book is weird in that the start and end of chapters seems to have nothing to do with time frame? They seemed designed so every chapter ends on a snappy saying or a pretend ‘what will happen?’ rather than then we are moving someplace else in time and space, but there isn’t any consistency so it ends up being more difficult to follow because of it.

Much of what I have to say about this book I said about the first book - please note I finished this series out of spite. I LOVED that Katelyn had the Sunday brunch with the girls, Meghan, Steph and Izzy and that they were all so supportive of one another. You, Kitten. You are my happiness. The one who makes me a better person. The one I want to see in the stands cheering me on. You are the woman I want at my side. You are my passion." But he’s fun. And great. And I think I might be falling for him. But I don’t know if he’s falling for me, too, or if he’s as much of a player off the ice as on. The fragile, pathetic kid I used to be is dead and gone. I love the way Saint’s jaw drops when he sees me, like I’m a ghost from his past.

He’s even good-looking when he sleeps. Can’t he at least pretend to be human and have his mouth wide open, with drool on his chin? Now I’m very excited to dive into the final book of the series, Sleet Banshee, which will follow my favorite vixen, Meghan! We get some glimpses of what her story might be throughout this book and in the epilogue…and I have a feeling this one will be my favorite of the trilogy! I admit, I do not understand people that tell every detail of their love life to LITERALLY EVERY WOMAN THEY MET EVER. But I could have been okay with it, IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO READ ABOUT IT. This couple had everything I love reading about -- they cared for each other, they were honest and the spice was just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Plus, nothing freaking happens troughout the whole book. Zero angst, zero reason to doubt that these characters will end up together = me bored to death.

Now why did she not finish this book???? Well...I’m glad you asked. This may not be a deal breaker for most people but it’s something I find annoying as hell.

There’s a little bit of accidental strife from an ex causing waves but it’s minor and even that couldn’t spoil the happy party I had going on with this. Definitely recommend it if your looking for a feel-good contemporary with plenty of hot chemistry this one was a definite winner and delivered all that and more. Sleet Kitten is the debut in the Sleet series. When Katelyn goes to her cousin’s party to celebrate his political career, she somehow feels out of place and needs to escape without anyone noticing. Her heel breaks while trying to leave after noticing her ex looking so great. She comes up with a plan and sneaks away into the homeowner’s library. The two of them are coming in H O T, but also realizing from the first minute that this is not just a one time thing. You went younger last time. I see you’re trying your hand at older tonight. But you’re wrong to keep trying. You don’t need to keep searching for your perfect man.”
