One of my favorite things about this Bible are the book intros, and the unifying theme inserts throughout. I don't consider myself an expert at any craft and am always finding new crafts and art mediums I want to try. The fact it's NLT also aids in that, the language is easy to grasp and makes the Bible understandable. The life application notes are separated from the Bible text by a green line and are presented in a two-column format. I just started reading the NLT because my son told me it was his favorite translation,He has the same bible you do except in paper back which started falling apart on him within a month. Some of the updates are just superficial, adding a second color and changing the layout of some of the information.
